Masterminded and produced by singer songwriter Pete Teo, the song reached over 10 million Malaysians shortly after its release in May 2008 and its music video became the third most viralled video in the world for a week [source: Metro Newspaper of London]. At the time of writing, it is estimated that over 1 million Malaysians have either the song or the music video [or both] stored on their computer, MP3 players or mobile phones.
One year later - the team behind MAFU is back with 15MALAYSIA. Now, instead of making an anti-racism music video, it is making 15 short films about Malaysia. Judging from the pre-release buzz, it will likely be the most talked about indie popular culture event of the year.
